Baylis invests in new recycling plant

Facilities to support industry-leading services for the new legislative environment.

Baylis Recycling has installed a new plastics recycling facility. Valued at £3 million, it features featuring washing and flaking plant and compound lines and has a processing capacity of over 10,000 tonnes per year. The plant will principally be used for post-consumer HDPE bottles.

As part of the same investment strategy, customers also benefit from a secure shredding VECOPLAN machine capable of processing up to 5 tonnes per hour. Other investments include a new calibrated weighbridge facility.

"Our new plant supports our objective to provide a one-stop quality service to the private and public sectors" says managing director Chris Baylis. "New legislative demands from both Westminster and Brussels are moving recycling rapidly up the management agenda. Our industry has a duty to provide the level of service that new environment demands".
